CA Names Marianne Budnik Chief Marketing Officer

Former EMC Marketing Executive Selected to Lead Worldwide Marketing Organization

ISLANDIA, N.Y., July 30, 2009 – CA, Inc. (NASDAQ: CA) today named Marianne Budnik as senior vice president and chief marketing officer reporting to George Fischer, CA´s executive vice president for global sales and marketing.

“Marianne´s broad international experience, her thorough knowledge of the technology industry and her long track record of delivering marketing results makes her uniquely qualified to lead CA’s global marketing organization to the next level,” said Fischer. “She will be instrumental in furthering our efforts to aggressively execute our comprehensive global marketing strategy and helping drive revenue growth. I am delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Budnik will be responsible for the Company´s overall marketing strategy and integrated market initiatives including CA’s corporate marketing, field marketing and product marketing activities.

Budnik most recently served as vice president, global field marketing and programs for EMC Corp. Additional roles at EMC included heading the EMC Marketing Operations and Strategic Planning Organization and director of software product marketing. Before joining EMC, Budnik spent a decade managing full-service direct marketing agencies, where she had overall responsibility for the management, growth and profitability of clients’ marketing programs.

Budnik holds an MBA from Boston University and earned a bachelor’s degree from Babson College.
