08/31/2004. According to a study carried out by Hispasec, the multinational virus and intrusion prevention company reacted 10 hours faster than competitors
Panda Software, one of the leading developers of virus and intrusion prevention solutions, was the fastest company to react to the Sasser worm and four of its variants according to a study by Hispasec, European laboratory specializing in IT security and technologies.

According to the Hispasec[1] survey -available at http://www.hispasec.com/unaaldia/2103/-, Panda Software solutions took first place in the global ranking of how companies reacted to Sasser and its B, C, D and E variants. Panda Software took ten hours less than the company in second place to provide a vaccine to its clients against these malicious codes.

The company’s rapid reaction capability is the result of dedicated R&D work by the team at PandaLabs. According to Luis Corrons, head of PandaLabs, its principal aim is to “obtain -as quickly as possible- the detection and disinfection routines to block and eliminate the new strains of malware that emerge.
