New Microsoft security bulletins

Madrid, December 14 2005 - Microsoft has released two security bulletins -MS05-054 and MS05-55-, announcing the availability of updates to resolve several vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer and Windows 2000.

Below we offer a summary of these bulletins and the corresponding addresses.

- Bulletin MS05-054: reports a cumulative security update for Internet Explorer which resolves four new vulnerabilities in the Microsoft browser that could allow code to be remotely executed. - Bulletin MS05-55: refers to a local vulnerability in the Windows 2000 kernel that could allow an attacker to take complete control of the system. This security problem has been classified as ˝important˝. More details at: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms05-055.mspx
