Madrid, November 2, 2006 - Cisco has released a security bulletin reporting a vulnerability in Cisco Security Agent Management Center when configured to use LDAP authentication. A remote user could run arbitrary code on the remote system.
When the system is configured to use an external LDAP for authentication, a remote user could enter a valid username and blank password to get administrative access to the administration application.
Cisco has released an updated version to correct this problem. Users are advised to upgrade to version 5.1 Hotfix 5.1.0.79 which can be downloaded from: http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/csahf-crypto?psrtdcat20e2 . More information is available at: www.cisco.com/warp/public/707/cisco-sa-20061101-csamc.shtml .
